Ragweed pollens are found to be affecting sensitive people as the
allergens. When any allergen enters the body, our immune system gets
activated and tries to oppose them, this is known as the alergic
reaction.
The ragweed plant is capable of producing billions of pollen
particles each year and they are capable of traveling hundred of
miles in the air, showing aggravating symptoms accompanied by the
allergic rhinitis.
The symptoms may include: itchy eyes / nose / throat, as well as
the runny and sneezing nose. Ragweed allergy could be diagnosed
through a simple skin test by the doctor by determining the typical
allergen that is responsible of aggravating the symptoms. Ragweed
allergy could easily be treated with specific medications such as
anti-histamines, nasal decongestants, corticosteroids as well as
alergy shots, depending on its severity.
